Ceramic-based Informational Model
This figure is an information exchange model for
southern New England using ceramic data. The basic concepts
of selection and transmission are borrowed from Neff (1993).
The model illustrates some of the cultural factors which may
have influenced stylistic continuity and change within the late Windsor
ceramic tradition. This diagram uses pottery from the Late Woodland and
Contact Periods (ca. 500-300 Years B.P.). For more information, refer to
the late Windsor
chronology.
