Connecticut Site Inventory
The Connecticut Historical Commission and Office of State
Archaeology maintain the State Register of Historic Places. The
register is an inventory of prehistoric and historic
period archaeological sites, as well as architectural and engineering sites.
For each site an inventory form is completed which
provides information used to evaluate the site condition and cultural
context.
Individuals and organizations engaged in local, state, or federally
mandated archaeological investigations in Connecticut are required to
complete these forms when sites are discovered.
Warning: The forms presented below were scanned as graphic images
and not text.
As a result they are quite large (each side of the form is >200k).
Descriptions will be added shortly.
