Squibnocket projectile points are usually associated with Late Archaic
Period (ca. 4800-3600 Years BP) occupations in southern New England. When
encountered, Squibnocket points are usually manufactured from locally
available quartz and quartzite. This is a relatively common point type in
southern New Englnad. Stemmed forms have also been identified.
