Steubenville

In southern New England, short lanceolate projectile points first appear in the Early Woodland Period (ca. 2700-2000 Years BP). The Steubenville type occurs in two forms: lanceolate and stemmed. This point type is relatively uncommon in southern New England. When encountered, Steubenville points have been manufactured from local and non-local lithic materials.
